Teran is a special global phenomenon which demands a special focus when enjoying it if you want to understand it and experience it alongside food with all of your senses.

It encapsulates the story of the soil, the sun, the wind, and the people who produce it with all the details coming alive in its exceptionally fruity bouquet, with hints of fresh berries. It has a dry, fruity, structured, full-bodied, mineral and noble taste, with a long aftertaste and the cleanest finish.

Vineyard Valleys and Karst Wine Cellars

Since time immemorial Karst has been adorned by vineyards, and the people of Karst have always tended to their viniculture with careful detail, storing it in special Kars wine cellars. This is the birthplace of the global wine phenomenon that the people of the Karst call TERAN.

The winegrowers are those special people who can hear the calls of the vineyards, and the vines, and know how to listen to them, which keeps them coming back. This breeds a special, unique relationship between the people, the land, and the vine. It is this relationship that gives the character and beauty to our TERAN.

The Association Consortium of Karst Teran Makers

The Association brings together the Karst teran makers who have undertaken to produce only superior quality teran with a protected appellation of origin.
